Quiz Bowl Corner

The Gesu Quiz Bowl Team finished  7-3 on the season.  Gesu defeated St. Pius X in the first place match on December 9.

The team, made up of 7th and 8th graders, competed against Blessed Sacrament, St. Pius X, St. John's, and Regina Coeli.  The students practiced Monday and Wednesday at lunch/recess.

Congrats Greyhounds on a great season!

One of our over all themes this year will be "Capture the Moment."  History sometimes means different things to different people. While we will focus on World and U.S. History, we will also discuss experiences that impact us personally and directly and that are part of OUR history.  That shouldn't be ignored.

If a parent/guardian would like to volunteer (as per school rules) please know you are welcome in our class. Please call or email me to schedule a time.

  News/Notes

7H homeroom parents, please check green folders every Friday and have students return them on Monday.  We also need back the signed mid-term sheets this week (you keep the grades) and the signed permission slip for the March 10 field trip.

You may have heard that some 7th grade students were invited to a sushi lunch as we finished our unit on Japan.

These students were being reqarded for                           both outstanding behavior and academics.

I'm always open to Quarter Project ideas as                       well as technology ideas.  If students or                           parent/guardians have some thoughts, I'd                         love to hear them!

                                                   Mr. Hinkle
